Quartersawn Maple Fretboard Blanks
acer saccharum s.g. 0.7 Hardness 6.5KN T/R ratio 1.9
Hard white timber harvested in the northern States and Canada, also called Rock Maple and Sugar Maple.
An excellent choice for guitar building it is attractive and easy to work, sold as quartersawn when the growth lines are between 75 and 90 degrees to the face, this shows the growth lines as parallel lines and is considered more attractive and stable.
Blanks are 70-75mm wide and 9mm thick.
