Spur pointed HSS drill bits 

clean cutting for accurate holes and centre spur to follow 

pin marking. while the hole has a fairly flat base these drills

are less prone to following the grain and wandering than other drill shapes.

Also less damage to the back surface on break through although a sacrificial

backing piece should be used when drilling through.
